Domestic trade and sea freight operation process
1、 The shipper shall submit a letter of authorization to the agent company to confirm the transportation method and cost. The specific content is as follows:
1. Door to door:
After the shipper inquires and confirms all expenses from the shipper's warehouse to the consignee's warehouse with the agent company, the agent or shipping company's office arranges for vehicle loading and delivery of goods upon arrival based on the warehouse address provided by the shipper.
2. From yard to yard:
Agents or shipping company offices shall collect loading, unloading, and sea transportation fees from the shipper or consignee. The shipper or consignee shall handle the land transportation and port delivery miscellaneous fees from two ports to two warehouses on their own.
3. From freight station to freight station:
The agent or shipping company office charges the shipper for the sea transportation fee, and the shipper or the consignee handles and pays for the land transportation fee from two ports to two warehouses, as well as port miscellaneous fees and packing fees.
2、 The agent company shall prepare the waybill, warehouse receipt, and cost list based on the power of attorney and packing list (submitted by the shipper), and arrange for the above documents to be delivered to the shipping company after loading.
3、 The shipping company confirms with the agent the fees, service methods, and requirements for arriving at the destination port.
4、 The agent company notifies the pickup person to pick up the goods or arranges for a pallet to deliver the goods to the designated gate of the consignee on the waybill.
5、 The consignee shall sign for the receipt of the goods and return the signed receipt to the agency.
6、 The agent or shipping company's office and shipping company shall fax or return the signed receipt to the shipper.
7、 The shipper shall deliver all freight payable to the agent company.
8、 The agent company delivers the fees payable to the shipping company.
Precautions for domestic sea freight operations
1. When confirming the order, it is necessary to accurately fill in the addresses and contact numbers of the shipper and consignee, as well as the insurance requirements, and confirm the price throughout the entire process. Please indicate the loading requirements for the goods, and dangerous goods must be specified first.
2. The characteristics of the goods have no adverse effects on the container, such as pollution (oil pollution, chemical corrosion, etc.), damage to the container, etc.
3. If an agent company is required to pick up the goods at their doorstep, arrange the pickup time reasonably, inform the pickup location and contact person, and complete the packing within a reasonable packing time to avoid unnecessary costs caused by insufficient loading and unloading force, pay attention to the weight limit of the container, and do not exceed the weight limit. If you need an overweight box, please contact the salesperson and sign to confirm!.
4. The free storage period for containers at the port is 4-6 days. Any delay beyond this period will result in demurrage fees, which are quite alarming and will be paid by the responsible party. Please be aware!
5. If any problems are found with the goods during unloading, please contact the insurance company as soon as possible.
6. After unloading, pay attention to the integrity and cleanliness of the container. Any costs caused by damage or pollution shall be borne by the responsible party.
